M4 Documentation:

This step demonstrates one method of changing nominal (categorical, discrete) values of an attribute to a numeric representation. For the weather attribute, its nominal values are 'Rainy', 'Sunny' and 'Cloudy'. For each of these values one new attribute is added to the input concept. The new attribute takes the value 1 if the corresponding value is taken, and 0 otherwise. Then the new attributes provide the same information as before, but in numeric values (1 and 0). Note that this step can create three attributes at once by using three ''loops''. The original attribute is still present in the concept, but it can be removed easily if necessary, by applying the operator 'FeatureSelectionByAttributes' (manual attribute selection).
